Thanks for meeting for another brunch date! Its been almost a month since we last met up and I've been busy. I have so much to share with you about what I've been doing and what I have coming up.
This virtual brunch date series is to catch up with my friends and my readers about my thoughts, upcoming plans and what I have planned in the upcoming month.
Why Brunch you ask?
Because Brunch is what the Lord gave us folks who like to sleep in but still enjoy an amazing meal.
Because, Brunch is life.
Y'all, for some strange reason I thought it would be a good idea to start working out before work and still arrive to work early. I mean like 7am early. Stop with the crazy looks, I know, silly idea.
With the early mornings and long nights I've recently experienced, it was even more important that my morning smoothie had a little extra "jump" in it to make it through the work day. I am not the nicest person when I'm sleepy AND hungry so my smoothies must be filling, full of energy and tasty. (I get mad at bland food too)
These last few weeks have been insane to say the least so it feels good to finally get back into the swing of things with blogging! With the summer coming, a friend thought it would be a good idea to discuss portion control
Is it just me or does it seem like every other new item in the grocery store is now chalked full of something “healthy”? Seriously, every time I turn around in a store the words “Full of Fiber”, “Made with Whole Grains” and “Excellent source of Calcium” are screaming at me from multiple boxes. (Inserts eye-roll) Let me tell you all the real deal, if a box has to convince you it is healthy, more than likely, it’s really not.
Seriously, I have no idea who needed a mindful Monday event like I did on May 1st. If you live here in Dallas, or owned a smartphone or tv, you will know the eventful day we had! I was so stressed out from the events that took place up the street from my center full of children, that I needed my friends, a good laugh and a fantastic cocktail.
